Finding the Light

My soul weeps

And cries out for peace

My heart feels

Broken

Smashed

Against the rocks of life

I try and Trust

I try and believe

But my enemies pursue me

They hunt me from every direction

Their footfalls echo in my ears

The fear drowns out Your voice

Speak to me

Shout to me

Rescue me from my death and destruction

I take hold of your promises

I lock your promises inside my heart of hearts

I will sit here on this rock

Battered by the waves

I believe in You

I will endure until you speak

I will have Faith until you come

I will sacrifice myself on these rocks

I sacrifice my life not to lose it

But to find life only in You

I am consumed by Your Holy Fire

I am broken by Your Hammer

I am laid prostrate before You

I will not rise until I have the power to move mountains

Until I can do great works in Your Name

Until Your brilliance in me blinds this fallen world

The evil one pursues me

I will not run anymore

With Your Spirit in my Heart

Your Father looking down

And with You by my side

I turn to face my enemy

The battle was already won

And I claim that victory in Your Name Jesus!
